Swap ONDO at the Best Rate
ONDO is the governance token of the Ondo DAO, part of the Ondo Finance ecosystem that puts traditional financial assets such as US Treasury funds on public blockchains. The token votes in the DAO, which governs the Flux Finance lending protocol, and carries no claim on product revenues. Trading unlocked on 18 January 2024 after a DAO vote ended the transfer restrictions.

About ONDO
ONDO is a token traded on Ethereum. On 1inch, the swap aggregator compares supported routes across DEX liquidity to help improve a crypto swap involving ONDO, while you keep full control of your funds in your own wallet.
ONDO ranks #1172 by 24-hour trading volume among the tokens tracked on 1inch, with $107.5K traded over the last day. Its market capitalization of around $1.6B places it among mid-cap crypto assets. Ethereum is the only network where the 1inch token catalog lists ONDO.

What is ONDO?
ONDO is a governance token, not a share of Ondo Finance and not a yield product. Ondo's actual financial products are separate regulated tokens: OUSG wraps short term US Treasury exposure for qualified investors, and USDY is a yield bearing dollar token for non US persons. ONDO's role is voting.
The Ondo DAO that ONDO holders vote in was established with help from the Ondo Foundation, a Cayman Islands foundation formed in 2022. The DAO deployed and governs Flux Finance, a lending protocol that accepts tokenized securities as collateral, and weighs in on ecosystem matters the foundation brings forward.
ONDO supply and tokenomics
Ten billion ONDO were minted, and the foundation's documentation states there is no scheduled or planned inflation. The token became transferable on 18 January 2024, when a DAO vote lifted the global lock that had applied since the 2022 CoinList sales, a moment the project calls the public launch.
Unlocks are structured rather than open ended: CoinList purchasers received tranches after a one year lock, seed and Series A investors vest over four further years, and core team members were bound by a five year lockup. Locked tokens can still vote, so distribution and governance run on separate clocks.
Who builds ONDO
Ondo Finance was founded in 2021 by Nathan Allman, previously of the digital assets team at Goldman Sachs. The company builds the products, while the independent Ondo Foundation supports the DAO and the token side of the ecosystem.
Allman led the company until his unexpected death in May 2026 at age 32. Ondo named its president, Ian De Bode, a former McKinsey digital assets lead who had joined in 2024, as chief executive, and said the mission and product roadmap continue unchanged.
How ONDO is governed
ONDO voting runs through the Ondo DAO on a one token one vote basis, including tokens still under lockup. Concretely, the DAO has governed Flux Finance parameters and the release of the token itself: the 2024 unlock happened because holders approved the foundation's proposal to end the transfer restrictions.
ONDO risks and considerations
ONDO carries governance rights and nothing else: no revenue share, no backing and no redemption. Its value rides on the growth of an ecosystem whose products mostly do not require the token. A majority of supply was still vesting as of early 2026, with large tranches unlocking each January through 2029.
Ondo's business depends on regulated products that tokenize securities, so legal and regulatory shifts in how tokenized Treasuries and stocks may be offered are a structural risk. The 2026 leadership transition adds ordinary key person risk, though the company moved quickly to name a successor.

Questions? Answers.
What does the ONDO token govern?
ONDO votes in the Ondo DAO, which deployed and governs Flux Finance, a lending protocol that accepts tokenized securities as collateral. The DAO also decided the token's own release: the January 2024 vote that lifted transfer restrictions. It does not control Ondo Finance the company or its regulated funds.
Is ONDO the same as OUSG or USDY?
No. OUSG and USDY are Ondo's investment products, regulated tokens with eligibility restrictions that pass through yield from Treasury exposure. ONDO is the freely trading governance token and pays no yield. Holding ONDO gives votes in the Ondo DAO, not access to or ownership of the products.
How many ONDO tokens exist?
Ten billion were minted, with no scheduled inflation. About 1.4 billion were unlocked when trading began in January 2024; the rest vests on a published schedule, with investor and ecosystem tranches releasing in steps each January through 2029 and the core team bound by a five year lockup.
Who founded Ondo Finance?
Nathan Allman, formerly of Goldman Sachs's digital assets team, founded Ondo in 2021. He led it until his unexpected death in May 2026, when the company appointed president Ian De Bode as chief executive. The Ondo Foundation, formed in 2022, separately supports the DAO that ONDO holders vote in.
What is ONDO used for?
ONDO is used for trading, portfolio rotation, or ecosystem exposure in DeFi. It ranks #1172 by 24-hour trading volume among the tokens tracked on 1inch. The role of the token can vary by network, liquidity conditions, and the route you choose, so it helps to review the quote before you confirm a swap.
Which networks support ONDO on 1inch?
ONDO is available on supported networks where liquidity exists and the route can be quoted in the 1inch dApp. Support can differ by chain and current liquidity conditions, so check the token selector and live quote in the Swap flow before you trade.
How does 1inch find the best ONDO rate?
1inch compares supported routes and optimizes execution across available liquidity sources on Ethereum, splitting your order across pools when that improves the ONDO price.
How do I protect my ONDO trades from MEV?
1inch adds MEV protection in supported intent-based flows to reduce exposure to front-running and sandwich attacks, which matters most on volatile or thin ONDO routes.
